Govinda Venkataswamy: Google Pays Tribute to Renowned Ophthalmologist on His Birth Anniv

Ophthalmologist Dr Govinda Venkataswamy, the founder of Aravind Eye Hospital, was conferred the Padmashree award in 1973 for his service to the nation. He died on July 7, 2006 at the age of 87.
